"Se llama fe porque no es conocimiento".
¿Tenía fe Niels Bohr en su “modelo atómico”? No tenía prueba alguna de que lo que estaba describiendo fuera realmente real. ¿Cómo podría? Incluso hoy en día, es imposible ver un electrón y mucho menos en 1913. Pero les aseguro que Niels Bohr tenía mucha “Fe” en su Modelo Atómico debido al "conocimiento" que tenía en física y a través de sus experimentos que lo llevaron a para desarrollar su Modelo Atómico. Ese mismo modelo se sigue utilizando en gran medida hoy en día, especialmente en el mundo académico.
De la misma manera, los cristianos usan la ciencia para probar la existencia de un Diseñador. Ese diseñador es Dios. Tenemos fe en Dios a través de nuestro conocimiento y comprensión de la ciencia.
¡Por lo tanto, se demuestra que esta afirmación de Christopher Hitchens es falsa!

¿Pueden proporcionar evidencia de cómo algo puede surgir de la nada?

La mejor explicación que he oído es que había materia y antimateria (en cantidades iguales). En cantidades iguales…. ¡qué conveniente! Bueno, solo por el bien de los argumentos, “refugiémonos en la seguridad del consenso” (Una cita de Christopher Hitchens) y aceptemos que había cantidades iguales de materia y antimateria... ¡Pero eso todavía no tiene sentido al no cuantificar nada! Si tienes $100 de riqueza total y al mismo tiempo tienes $100 de deuda, ¿no tienes nada? Por supuesto que no… ¡tienes $100 en tu billetera! Es algo. NO es nada. Desde una perspectiva financiera, se equilibra como riqueza cero, pero al final del día, todavía tienes $100 (algo). Lo mismo se aplica con el argumento Materia/Antimateria.
Por lo tanto, si realmente crees en la teoría del Big Bang, ¿dónde está la evidencia de que TODO surgió de la NADA?
Christopher Hitchens nos dice que tal afirmación "excepcional" requiere pruebas "excepcionales".

Question: In your new book Anarchy Evolution: Faith, Science and Bad Religion in a World without God you talk about the "anarchic exuberance of life." What do you mean by that?
Response: The trick is: how do you talk about natural selection without implying the rigidity of law? We use it as almost an active participant, almost like a god. In fact, you could substitute the word "god" for "natural selection" in a lot of evolutionary writings and you'd think you were listening to a theologian. It's a routine we know doesn't exist but we teach it anyway: Genetic mutation and some active force chooses the most favorable one. That simply isn't a complete explanation of what's going on. We need to stop thinking about lawlike behaviors and embrace the surprises.

Stephen Hawking, British theoretical physicist, states, “If the expansion rate of the universe was different by one part in a thousand, million, million a second after the big bang, the universe would have collapsed back on itself or never developed galaxies.” If you change the expansion rate, even by that miniscule amount, we wouldn’t be here.
Robert R. Wilson
Was an American author, futurist, psychologist, and self-described agnostic mystic.
Robert R Wilson made the following observation regarding the realization that he and Penzias had discovered the beginning of the universe:
"Certainly, there was something that set it all off. . . I can’t think of a better theory of the origin of the universe to match with Genesis."
Dr. David D. Deutsch
Dr. David D. Deutsch is a British physicist at the University of Oxford. He pioneered the field of quantum computation by formulating a description for a quantum Turing machine, as well as specifying an algorithm designed to run on a quantum computer.
He is quoted as follows:
(1) If we nudge one of these constants just a few percent in one direction, stars burn out within a million years of their formation, and there is no time for evolution. If we nudge it a few percent in the other direction, then no elements heavier than helium form. No carbon, no life. Not even any chemistry. No complexity at all.
